Barry is a Career and Executive Coach who has held management and consulting roles within Human Resources departments in the Financial Services and Health Care sectors. He has led numerous employee development and change initiatives, and gained considerable experience in assessment, coaching, and counseling. He has taught leadership and behavioral interviewing skills to hundreds of business leaders, and has achieved significant success in the areas of self-directed work team cultures and leadership development.
Barry’s diverse experience and strengths in sales and marketing, executive search, international recruitment, organizational development, executive coaching, and HR management are passed on to clients through career transition skills and retirement planning workshops. One-to-one coaching has been a focus for the past 12 years. His professional coaching skills have also taken him to the athletic arena, where he has been recognized as a “Coach That Makes a Difference” by Basketball BC. In 2005, he was inducted into the Delta Sports Hall of Fame in the Builder/Leader category and was the “Delta Volunteer of the Year” in 2008 in addition to winning Basketball BC’s inaugural “Youth Basketball Builder Award”.
Barry holds a BA from York University and is certified in the administration and interpretation of various personal development tools including the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator. Barry is also a candidate for the Certified Coach designation.
